Michelin and many other tire manufactors
raised consumer tire prices
Michelin North America Inc. raised prices on its Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, private and associate brand passenger and light truck replacement tires up to 12%, effective Sept. 1.
In addition, Michelin will hike prices on its Michelin and BFGoodrich brand commercial tires up to 8%, also on the same day. "This price increase will also apply to Michelin Retread Technologies Inc. retreads," say company officials.
The increases were necessary due to rising raw material, energy and transportation costs. Oil prices was the main cause of the increases during 2007-2008. This was the third increase in a short time, therefore we have not revised
our online prices. Call or stop by for an firm quote on tires. We buy direct, so we can sell cheaper than our competition.
